SO Married: Michelle & RJ

“Be the Doug to her Carrie. Be the Jim to her Pam. Be the Ross to her Rachel. Be her lobster.”

Michelle’s sister and Maid of Honor, Jennifer, said those words to RJ during her speech. RJ is a TV enthusiast and this is a language of love that he understands. It was perfect and everyone knew that RJ will love Michelle even more than these TV characters love each other.

The day began at the beauty salon, she was sitting calmly as her hair was being curled. Her hands in her lap, her yellow ballet flats peeking out of the apron, her face beaming with a smile. Today was her wedding day. The day she’s dreamed of and waited for since he proposed amongst dozens of yellow roses and hundreds of candles. Today was her day. It was finally here and she couldn’t hide her excitement.

Sixty miles away, he sat in a restaurant with his groomsmen eating lunch, laughing, and enjoying time with his buddies. Today he was going to marry his best friend. Today was going to be perfect. And it was.

Michelle and RJ’s wedding was beautiful in every way, from the dress to the flowers, the vows and stolen kisses. It was a day of pure joy for everyone that was there and I am so incredibly honored to have captured this love story. I love you Moca and RJ. Your love for each other is truly inspiring and brings happiness to the hearts of all who know you.

One of my second shooters, Nicole, grabbed this photo of RJ getting ready. I love how happy he is!

Michelle wanted to remember loved ones she had lost, using her Grandmother’s pearls and her Great-grandmother’s rings in her bouquet.

I love having a fun bridal party! The guys wanted to pose how they thought the girls posed…showing off their shoes!

I love the angle of the first kiss that my mom got on the right! Stunning!

Michelle and RJ chose to wait until the ceremony to see each other, so their first moments alone together were right after the ceremony. The picture on the right is of their first moment alone as husband and wife. It was a moment to cherish.

Michelle’s nephews always know how to have fun!
Cornhole was set up during cocktail hour, entertaining guests (especially the kids!) to no end!

I love photobooths at weddings!

I really love this photo that Nicole got during the Maid of Honor’s speech.
